31st Anniversary of My Very First TV Interview – September 3, 1985

Before there was CNBC, CNN, Good Morning America and over 500 other live TV and radio interviews  of mine, there was my  very first one  on the then “Bill Jamison Show” (which was aired on Monmouth Cablevision’s TV-34). Bill has been broadcasting the Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade for decades on Cablevision. I recently discovered him (after all these years) and hope to catch him at an upcoming local appearance.

I would end up having my own “live” show on TV-34 called “Money & Sense”. It was at the start of my “legend in my own mind” time frame, which coincided with my turning the “Ten Commandments” into the “Ten Suggestions”.  A far more lasting “legend” was the then, 19 year old producer of my show, TJ Lubinsky. Many of you have seen and watch TJ on PBS for several years now.

While I don’t have (nor have been able to obtain) my interview with Bill Jamison, I was recently blessed to receive some old interviews of mine. It includes  a very old commercial of me as a stockbroker, sometime around 1990 (see here). I also discovered my first of two appearances on the “Morton Downey Jr. Show” is on Youtube (see here).

I never truly appreciated the blessings these interviews were at the time; but now thank God even for my next breath.

Have a most blessed Labor Day weekend.
