How many of you remember seeing this scene for the first time many years ago?
I suspect most of us have now concluded:
You and I have two choices going forward:
1 – We can dwell in the past, get on the longest line in the universe (the should of, could of line) and stay chained to our past actions and those brought upon us
2 – We can make today, the first day of the rest of our lives.
I choose #2. I hope and pray you do too!
P.S. And don’t make the mistake I did thinking we can not only predict the future, but plan it out for as far as the mind can envision. Instead, remember James 4:13-16
“Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we shall go into such and such a town, spend a year there doing business, and make a profit’. You have no idea what your life will be like tomorrow. You are a puff of smoke that appears briefly and then disappears. Instead you should say, ‘If the Lord wills it, we shall live to do this or that.’ But now you are boasting in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.”
