Sunday Thought

Evil has penetrated every fabric of society. And one of its brilliant moves was to convince many Christians that tolerance is a Christian virtue. What’s that you say Grandich?

I’ve watched in the name of “tolerance”, choices and actions be accepted by Christians that have demons dancing in the streets.

I’m not implying we’re called to be intolerant; but rather that tolerance is not an end itself but merely a worthy working principle in moral discourse and inquiry.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant and then it tries to silence good until it can’t speak or be heard anymore. We need to remember that tolerance is not a Christian virtue.

Charity, justice, mercy, prudence, honesty — these are Christian virtues. And obviously, in a diverse community, tolerance is a key working principle. But it’s never an end itself. In fact, tolerating grave evil within a society is itself a form of serious evil.

Likewise, democratic pluralism does not mean that Christians should be quiet in public about serious moral issues because of some misguided sense of good manners. A healthy democracy requires vigorous moral debate to survive.

I already know my outspokenness on matters of finance seriously impacts the “numbers” of potential clients and adding a commentary like this will only reduce that percentage further. However, I’m very focused on the rope now (Watch this video and pray you grasp what I mean).

Have a most blessed Sunday.
